Some of the blogs I have been reading lately (maybe only Generation X Finance) have been noting that there is a way to vacation on the cheap by volunteering.  Being in my late 30’s I am not sure any of this works for me and my wife, but I am interested in trying it.  Vacationing and helping others is what it is all about.  This article still has some links to the Lighthouse bed and breakfast places.   The pictures of those places are amazing, and could be very cozy for my wife and I to visit and stay.  If you want a great read, check out the article and see all the different ideas, and not all of them you have to do anything, you can just pay to stay like traditional vacations.
