Bing Maps and the technology behind it

 Microsoft Bing Maps' datacenter

Interesting article with accompanying video about Microsoft’s Boulder Colorado facility.  It seems the Mapping part of Bing is housed there, and they have containers (yes like shipping containers) full of computers.  I would hate to have to work in one, but the technology is cool.  Scoble is a huge Mac guy, so I was pretty impressed that he would take the time to write this kind of article.  He states that Microsoft makes the imaging cameras that are taking the pictures.  He also is saying that Apple will be doing their own Map thing soon.  It is a “interesting” time in history, you have wondrous inventions going on, and you have huge unemployment, and natural disasters. Yikes.
