They considered this a low cost solution in the $500-$900 range. Yikes.  I think it would be cool to automate the house with this, but I am sure selling this to my wife would be … interesting to say the least.  Add in the fact that it isn’t that big a deal to get up off my big butt and turn off a light.  Oh, did I tell you it can connect and be controlled by your smartphone?  *sniff* I can hope.
