Great article from lifehacker on virtualization using VirtualBox.
If you are wondering why you would be interested in virtualizing, there are several good reasons to virtualize.
- Testing new or odd OSs without having to commit a whole computer to them.
- Testing software that you are either unsure of or you don’t want clogging your computer after you uninstall it.
- You are browsing the web in the “wrong” places and are afraid of “catching” something".
- You just like screwing around in an environment where if you do something hinky or wrong it is not a catastrophic fail.
So this article covers getting it all setup. They even have links to a resource that has images already setup for you. All you do is load and run and it is all set for you. If you are interested or just like knowing things, I would suggest reading this article (and lifehacker too).
