If you make this for your desk, you are definitely a nerd.  This has DIY Nerd written all over it.

Don’t get me wrong, it is VERY cool.  Though all have to admit, that if you came into an office with this hovering in a display, you would think this person has achieved a level of nerdiness that is held for Bill Gates and the like.
