A Message From Homeland Security: My Way or the Highway

It is becoming more and more apparent that the Government doesn’t care what it does or doesn’t do to people.  They are getting more and more invasive, and only will continue to get more invasive in our lives.  They will do it under the guise that they are “protecting us” from “terrorists”.  I long to be safe too, but I don’t feel this is the way a free people react to problems.  This is not security, it is the guise of security.  If I get in your face and pat you down, then you think you are safe.  Not that they can find a way to kill you or a great deal of us.  Hell, the don’t need to “find” a way, our news and media TELL THEM WHERE TO ATTACK!

Now that we have seen what is next, and don’t tell me this doesn’t affect you.  We started with the Patriotic act, that has been corrupted to attack our citizens too.  Now we get these rules.  Next? Anyone want to guess?  Don’t want to guess?  Just look at history.  I suggest 1930’s Germany.  Hell, look at 1940’s American in regards to Japanese Americans.  We did not industrialize the destruction of the Japanese in America, but we did steal from them.  We did humiliate them.  We did them an injustice.  We just don’t talk about that.  We need to.  We need to discuss it and figure out something from it, or we are destined to repeat it all again. And again.  If we are not open about our failures in America we cannot learn from them and be better next time.

I will get off my soap box now.
