What the scientists of today are coming up with is just outstanding.  This stuff is flexible, breathable and WASHABLE (!!!!!!) fabric.  So the physics of it are pretty simple.  When normal it just is flexible and ready to go.  When a sudden impact hits it, it spreads the impact out and then goes back to normal.  This is the new way of doing armor clothing, but it still just amazes me that we are are going to be able wear a bullet proof jacket and then just drop it into the washing machine and handle it with my gym socks.  And that doesn’t even scratch the surface of what people can do with it all. We live in wonderful times.
