So for the Month of March in 2011 PC Gamer decided to go over the Top 100 Games of All Time. So here is the list (next 20) that they went over:
80. Grim Fandango – Heard of this game for years, but never picked it up and tried it. Has great reviews, as you can tell from its position. Released 1998.
79. Galactic Civilizations II – I have played this game for days, and have loved it all. The tech tree is wonderful and the aliens are perfect. I would recommend this game for all who love turn based games. Released 2006.
78. Crysis – I upgraded my computers to run this game. Me and most of the game world. Then I played it a little and stopped playing it. I recently purchased it on Steam again. I am looking forward to trying it again in the coming months. I hope my new computers still can run it. Released 2007.
77. Command & Conquer: Red Alert – Another RTS that I never played. Released 1996.
76. Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn – I never really liked this series. The point and click RPG was great but I never really liked it. Released 2000.
75. Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri – This is one of the best games ever. I loved playing it. Well balanced and overall a 10 experience. I recommend getting this anytime. If it is every released on the newer platforms. Released 1999.
74. Burnout Paradise – Never played this, don’t know why a driving game is on this list, that is the realm of consoles. Maybe I should try it. Released 2009.
73. Zuma’s Revenge! – A Bejeweled type of game. I will leave that to my wife and her Pogo friends. And yes she has run away from Facebook. Released 2009.
72. Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger – This series is some of the best EVER games. Tie fighter is better, but… this is the one I could play, so I enjoyed the hell out of it. Released 1994.
71. Spelunky – Never heard of this before, will have to take a look. Released 2009.
70. League of Legends – Not that interested in this, but I wasn’t interested in Magic the Gathering before trying it. Released 2009.
69. Flight Simulator 2004 – Dear god, I do not have the focus to geek out on flight sims. The flight sim guys spook me like LARPers. Released 2003.
68. Dwarf Fortress – Never heard of it. PC Gamer states it is difficult, but rewarding. Released 2006.
67. Anchorhead – Another one I missed. I am starting to think I am not a high level gamer. Released 1998.
66. Torchlight – Diablo++. Point and click hack and loot fest. Released 2009.
65. Zeno Clash – Too weird for me. Not my bag baby. Released 2009.
64. VVVVVV – Never heard of. Released 2010.
63. SimCity 2000 – Played and destroyed many a poor resident. Loved the destruction. Released 1993.
62. Left 4 Dead 2 – If you have not played this, you have been under a rock, or you don’t like FPS’. One of the best coop FPS’ ever! Released 2009.
61. Frontier: Elite 2 – Wanted to play this, but when I tried it, it was too hard. Released 1993.
Have you tried any of these? Please leave comments on the ones you liked.
