Giving food to homeless supports terrorism, didn’t you know?

So here we are in the jolly good year of 2011. People are out of work.  At least 20% of the population of America is currently receiving some form of food stamps (Food Aid for the more PC of you all). With all that you would think the City of Orlando, Florida would like to help those a little less fortunate than those in City Hall.  No.   It seems the organization called Food Not Bombs was giving out food (HA! who would have thought, it is in their name even) to the homeless, in a park, and there is an ordinance against that.  So they get arrested.  Nice piece of local government work there.

So ACLU comes to their aid? NCAAP?  Anyone that takes care of people?  No, it was Anonymous, yes the internet hackers, who said they would declare war on Orlando government.  WTF? Is this the state of America, where to give out food to homeless people you have to get a permit (which you can only get twice a year at the same park)?  Or worse, that Anonymous would be the guys fighting for these people?  BTW I applaud Anonymous and think they are doing the right thing (if they are actually doing anything).

Has America fallen so much that we now have to stoop to vigilantism to get our rights?  We are already being charged for emergency services that I always thought were paid for by my taxes?  (Don’t believe me? Click on this link to look at recent events) So now we have to look to internet vigilantes as our posse to get western justice? Why?  Why can’t a little common decency and sense be injected into my America?

What do you think?
