Well as a Battletech fanboy I recently heard about this game again.  It was originally introduced in 2009 and nothing much has been heard about till last week.  This looks to be the MechWarrior I grew up on (MechWarrior 2 thru 4). 

I have read a few interviews with the developers of this online game and I get the feeling they “get” MechWarrior. 

This is going to be a persistent world, meaning that it will start in Aug 19th 2012 and in game it will be Aug 19th 3049 and day by day it will continue to progress.  Note they are starting before the clan invasion, so there are cool things that could be in the works. The other thing I noted is that they are going to let you create your own Mercenary Corporations in the Inner Sphere.  So you can choose your starting house and then you start to bash heads.

I, for one, am looking forward to this game.  Oh and finally we have a PC only game. After EA screwed PC MW Elite fans and CCP making Dust 514 (or whatever they want to call it) a PS3 console only release, it is nice to see a PC only game finally.
